Since 4th of February was a holiday, Independence day was celebrated on the 2nd by trainees, their parents, volunteers,with staff and along with Mr. Denise and Mrs.Mandy. The flag was hoisted with singing the National anthem. There after Teacher Anton spoke about Independence day to widen the knowledge of trainees.

On the February 14th and 15th, Sumaga staff, parents, trainees explored Nuwara Eliya and visited places like Ambewela Farms, Rama Sitha Kovil, Gregory Lake, Hakgala Gardens, the Tea Factory and came back home with unforgettable memories.

On the 6th of April 2018, Parents, staff along with trainees celebrated the Sinhala & Hindu New Year.

Special activities like placing eye for the elephant, musical chairs were conducted and prizes and gifts were given.

Poson Bakthi Gee program was conducted on the 22nd of June 2018.

School Participants were – Sumaga Mount Lavania, Moratuwa Balika, Madiwella Nugegoda, Prithipura Wattala, Serd Kalaniya and Exceptional Childrens Colombo.

The annual art competition for the year was held on the 16th July 2018 at Sumaga.

21 School Affiliates participated in this program.

3rd Prize – Menhandy – Dehiwella – Harsha Nadum Kumara

This competition is held to encourage participation, to increase self-confidence and to bring out their talents and capabilities.

This program was held on the 8th of August 2018 at the S.de S.Jayasinghe Grounds, Dehiwella. Seven affiliates participated in this tournament.

The chief guest was Anime8 Director Mr. Dinesh Rajawasan.

Children’s day was on October 1st 2018 and AIDSL Celebration was held on the 2nd October 2018. Sumaga, Sithumpathum Sevena, Madhiwela and Moratuwa Balika participated in this program.
